El navegador Firefox acaba de liberar su primera revisión de la versión 1.0.
Firefox nos permite abrir varias páginas en una misma ventana dentro de pestañas separadas, abrir enlaces en segundo plano, y sobre todo hasta el momento se presenta como una alternativa mucho más estable que Internet Explorer.

Aunque también es cierto que a estas alturas, ya es una alternativa suficientemente conocida por todos.
Como principales novedades destacar:
- Mejoras en la estabilidad del sistema.
- Los nombres de dominio internacionales son ahora mostrados como punycode (Para mostrar los nombres de dominio internacionales en Uniccode bastará con poner en las preferencias "network.IDN_show_punycode" a false).
- Y varios problemas de seguridad solventados.

* 280664 - Using Flash and the -moz-opacity filter you can get access to about:config and make the user silently change values.
* 282270 - Display IDN URLs as punycode by default (controlled by a hidden pref).
More security holes fixed in Firefox 1.0.1 will be made public after Firefox 1.0.1 is released. The most serious holes will be listed on the known-vulnerabilities page.
